It’s a Constant Battle…
If you know me at all you know I'm constantly moving cameras in and out of my bag. My medium-format Fuji GFX100S stays for my work, but the "other" camera is in a constant state of change. This is the camera I travel with, photograph birds with, and most everything else besides food/magazine work. I gave up on Nikon a couple of years ago when they fell behind in autofocus technology, but I've been a Nikon Professional Services guy since 1984 and that was tough to do. I think I'm going back. There is always a new model on the horizon and Nikon's is next, but I think I want the camera that I like even if it isn't the fastest and best. Sony has the tech but I'm just not a fan of how they work/feel. Canon was very good to me, but again no connection. The smaller-sensor Fujis FEEL the best and work great but I really prefer the larger sensor's detail and crop-ability. So... Nikon it is. At least for a while, right?
I stumbled across a used Nikon Z5 a few weeks ago for a really good price. It will get me back into the Nikon routine while I wait for the Z8 to be released and delivered. This is with the Z5 and 24-70/4.
